Project Overview
With a desire to have an upstairs living space to provide an entertainment and games area that was separate from the rest of the house, the end result was exactly what the clients wanted.
The idea of a study nook is becoming a popular trend these days with people wanting to maximise the use of their space whilst being able to be interactive with other people in the room. The open plan area upstairs has provided the best of both worlds for the clients who want to entertain as well as study or simply relax in a retreat type area.
The second storey addition meant that the whole façade of the house had a facelift. The classic crème coloured look of the façade suitably matched the full length laddered coins and tudor glazing bars on the windows. Complete with decorative mouldings and detailed key stones to highlight the windows.
The clients have gone for a two tier stair case in a classic meranti timber balustrade and a ladies waist hand rail.
To top it all off the balcony offers a relaxing view over looking a local park.
