Project Overview
This neat but plain single-storey frontage was totally transformed by AVJennings Home Improvements to create a contemporary and striking two-storey home. The exterior was completely altered, adding on a small verandah and removing the previous brick façade with a fashionable rendered look. The external transformation of this home from before to after, is superb!
You would imagine that the old house was knocked down and rebuilt: in fact, the owners and their three children were able to keep living in the solid brick home throughout the renovation.
The new addition consists of a spacious master bedroom, featuring an ensuite and walk in robe. It also includes a living area, which the owners have utilised as a family room and study/computer area. The gorgeous timber stair case blends attractively well with the rest of the home, leading you up to the spacious extension that brings in lots of natural light from the inclusion of windows.
The owners originally approached an architect but had trouble getting their good ideas translated into new plans. The budget was also proving to be a problem. AVJennings was able to match workable plans with the owner’s vision for their home and then make it happen, without putting enormous stress on the family or breaking the budget.
